Our commitment

The Asterisk Project is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

This website is run by Asterisk Project CIC (Company registration number: 17021645).

We are working to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. This statement will be updated after our first accessibility audit when the site is complete.


What we’ve done

This website is designed to be:

  • Navigable by keyboard
  • Compatible with screen readers
  • Clear and simple to understand
  • Readable on different screen sizes
  • Accessible with sufficient colour contrast

We have:

  • Used plain language throughout
  • Provided text alternatives for images
  • Ensured sufficient colour contrast (WCAG AA minimum)
  • Used clear heading structure
  • Made links descriptive and meaningful
  • Ensured forms are clearly labelled

Known limitations

This is our MVP launch. We’re aware that:

  • Some accessibility features may not yet be fully optimised
  • Third-party embedded content (e.g., videos, maps) may have accessibility limitations
  • Not all content has been fully tested with assistive technologies

We’re committed to ongoing improvement and welcome feedback.

When we create downloadable resources, we will ensure they are accessible. If you need a resource in a different format, please contact us.

Third-party content:
